THE youth wing of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has joined a host of other well meaningful groups calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the nomination of the President, Network of Women with Disabilities (NWD), Lois Auta-Udonkanta as a minister in his cabinet.
THE leadership of SOKAPU Youth wing led by its National Youth Leader, Comrade Luke Augustine Duniya, made the appeal on Friday at a press conference in Kaduna.

BAYE explained further that her appointment will go a long way in demonstrating president Tinubu’s commitment for peoples with disabilities inclusiveness in politics and governance.

IT will be recalled that Lois Auta-Udonkanta, through the Network of Women with Disabilities, mobilised her constituency in support of Tinubu presidential campaign. She is also the founder/Chief Executive Director, Cedar Seed Foundation, a youth/disability organisation which promotes the inclusiveness of people with disabilities in politics and other key aspects of life.

GENTLEMEN OF THE PRESS.
The Youth Wing of Southern Kaduna Peoples’ Union hereby pleads with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the Union’s recommendation for the appointment Lois Auta-Udonkanta, President Network of Women with Disabilities, as minister of the federal republic of Nigeria from Kaduna State.
Lois Auta-Udonkanta is true Nigerian, an abled Amazon, if appointed to serve as Minister in the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinibu, she will represent Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in this administration of inclusivity. Mr. President, we believe that her appointment under your administration will spice up development as well as brighten the future of the community of Persons Living with Disabilities in Nigeria.
The Youths are satisfactorily okay with Lois Auta-Udonkanta’s exemplary leadership and humanitarian achievements within and outside the shore of Nigeria. As a developmental leader with the requisite qualifications, she is qualified to be part of the cabinet of the most inclusive government of our nation is quiet essential especially at this crucial point in the history of our survival as a country.
President Tinubu needs to end all forms of existing discrimination that excluded Persons with Disabilities from active participation in governance. Therefore, there shall be inclusion of persons with Disabilities in the current administration as this will transform the lives of millions and inspire a wave of positive change throughout the society which will serve as an indication of demonstrating his commitment to the principles of equality and social justice, which will create a more just, equitable, and prosperous Nigeria for all.
The National Youth Wing of SOKAPU is addressing you today as a concerned Socio-cultural organization that advocates for equity, fairness and justice for all citizens. We cannot shy away from the fact that persons with disabilities in Nigeria always face significant barriers to accessing basic rights and opportunities and this ugly development has posed a serious threat to nation building.
We are confident that appointment of Lois Auta-Udonkanta as Minister would bring about effective governance, thereby fostering a society that truly upholds the principles of equality and social justice. Finally, Mr. President we urge you to take immediate action in addressing this critical issue by actively seeking out for a woman with disability who is most qualified to be appointed to serve in your cabinet as a Minister, which Lois Auta-Udonkanta is one amongst many and so, we recommend her for your consideration based on her exemplary track records of service to humanity as an outstanding Nigerian with humanitarian heart.
