In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of education in his society, Kaduna State and the nation at large, Crown University, Delaware, United State of America, US, has conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Management (Honoris Causa) on Hon. Gideon Jock Yaji.
According to Crown University, the honorary Doctorate degree of Management is conferred on Jock, a consulting staff with National Assembly, Abuja as one of distinguished individuals through out the world, as a Certificate of Achievement with Five Stars Award.
The award was done in conjunction with the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development and the Association of Pension Desk Practitioners of Nigeria, during the 2024 Lagos Leadership Summit and Honorary Doctorate Degree Awards with the theme: “Navigating Challenges, Seizing Opportunities, and Equity amidst Hyper-inflation and Forex Scarcity,” held at the University of Lagos on Saturday 14th April.
It will be recalled that Hon. Gideon Jock had earlier been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Leadership & Management by Harvard Business School, and Geofidel Institute for Leadership & Management, London.
Receiving the award, Hon. Jock while thanking the organisers of the event for finding him worthy of the honour done on him, said it has spurred him for more and greater service to God and humanity.
He assured that he would continue to do all within his means to assist the less privileged and the undeserved in the society, while calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to take the available opportunities wherever they work to bring growth and development in their societies.
Jock is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Nigeria. He is also a certified Management Specialist (CMS), in Time Management, London Graduate School, and a Fellow of the Geofidel Institute for Leadership & Management, London, as well as Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria; Fellow, Chartered Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders of Nigeria.
Jock holds the Chieftaincy title of Mayegun of Oodua Youth Parliament (Leader of Peace), Yoruba Kingdom and also the Dujjiman Matasan Arewa (Symbol of Youth’s Refinement) – Sir Ahmadu Bello Hall of Fame.
Jock has received several awards and recognitions amongst which included; Youth Empowerment & Selfless Service Award from Defence Intelligence Agency, Junior/Intermediate Staff Club of Abuja Recognition Award in appreciation of his invaluable contribution to the reduction of housing deficit in Nigeria from Lifestyle Asset Hub International; a Merit Award in recognition of his selfless service to the Ham community and humanity from Holistic Club Kwoi, Jaha LGA; a Galaxy of Student Progress Award from National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Global Impact Award, as Community Developer of the Year from Ashbab Global Impact Initiative.
